Souls and Bodies

When we think about “accepting ourselves,” we think about accepting a style of dress or a label we identify ourselves with. People feel boxed in by the labels and brand names, but only because they would like to dress a different way.

Here’s the crazy truth: the outward appearance that we all put on everyday is not a definition of who we are. Yes, clothes and radically crazy hair style are wonderful and beautiful expressions of our feelings and our personalities.

But in no way do those shoes or that sweater define who you are as a person.

Learn to accept your soul.

“You don’t have a soul. You are a Soul. You have a body.” – C.S. Lewis
